Marche, the mystery of the video. “Hedgehogs in a car without a seatbelt”

Ancona, June 26, 2025 – It can happen that even a seat belt becomes a mystery during an election campaign. Because the center-right claims to have caught Democratic candidate Matteo Ricci in a car without a seat belt, and on social media (the FdI Marche Facebook account) they spread a thirteen-second video to prove it, and he instead replies that it is all nonsense, and as counter-proof they spread a photo with the seat belt clearly visible above the collar of his shirt.
Video or photo? Posterity will decide, unless we bother the VAR.
The casus belli is the Federcasa assembly , today in Ancona: in video link from the car (as a passenger) there is the Democratic MEP. Look, someone films him (here on the right we publish a frame) and on the FdI social media thirteen seconds of his speech appear, along with the attack by the FdI group leader in the Chamber, Galeazzo Bignami : “Ricci is so eager to chase Acquaroli in the polls that he gets in his car and drives off without even putting on his seatbelt. After having offended public service journalists, now he offends all those who work every day to set an example on road safety. A terrible example”.
Subtitle: caught. But Ricci denies everything , and instead releases a photo – that someone took of a computer screen during his connection – with his belt clearly visible and the poisonous comment: “They are touching, they don’t know what to invent anymore. With each passing day they understand that they are losing and become more and more tragically comical. I feel sorry for the voters of the Marche who deserve a serious campaign”.
